VIBEZ ORIGINAL HYBRID

The Twin XL Vibez Original Hybrid

A Twin XL keeps the 38-inch width of a Twin and adds five inches of length, bringing it to the same 80 inches as a Queen or King. That makes it the size for a tall single sleeper who does not need extra width, and it is the standard in college housing for the same reason — maximum length in minimum floor space.

Will it fit your room?

Allowing 24 inches of walking clearance at both sides and the foot of the bed, a Twin XL needs a room of roughly 7'2" × 8'8" (86" × 104").

A Twin XL occupies almost exactly the same floor area as a Twin, so it fits the same rooms. The five extra inches come off the walking space at the foot of the bed, which is worth checking if the bed sits opposite a doorway or a closet that needs clearance to swing open.

SIZING UP

How the Twin XL compares.

Against a Twin, you gain length and nothing else, for a modest price difference. Against a Full, you trade 16 inches of width for five inches of length — a Full is the better choice for a single sleeper who moves around, a Twin XL for one who is simply tall. Two Twin XLs side by side match King dimensions exactly, which is how split-King setups are built.

Every size of the Vibez Original Hybrid is built the same way: a square-cut EcoGrid comfort layer over a transition layer, above individually wrapped pocketed coils, in an 11-inch profile. The size changes the surface area, not the construction.

TWIN XL QUESTIONS

Common questions.

What is the difference between a Twin and a Twin XL?

Width is identical at 38 inches. A Twin is 75 inches long and a Twin XL is 80 inches — the same length as a Queen or King. The Twin XL exists for sleepers who need the length but not the width.

Do Twin XL sheets fit a Twin?

Not well. The five-inch length difference means a Twin XL fitted sheet will be loose on a Twin, and a Twin sheet will not stretch over a Twin XL. Buy bedding to the exact size.

Can two Twin XLs make a split King?

Yes. Two Twin XLs placed side by side measure 76 by 80 inches, matching standard King dimensions. This is the usual approach when two sleepers want independent adjustable bases.
